Below are some links to some worthy causes that I feel are very important in the fight to save our planet and the animals that inhabit it. Save these things and we can save humanity as well.
The Earth Organization...
This non-profit charity was set up by the late Lawrence Anthony - conservationist, author and 'Elephant Whisperer'. It is a charity that I have worked with and it's aim is to 'save the world' through education about are planet and eco-tourism.
All of the elephants featured on this website were rescued and rehabilitated by Lawrence and he wrote about it in The Elephant Whisperer.
Save The Rhino...
All though all animals are important and many are facing extinction, the rhinos are experiencing unprecedented levels of illegal poaching. In 2011 444 rhinos were killed in South Africa for their horn which is used as a medicine for various ailments in the Far East.
It has been scientifically proven that the rhino horn (chemically the same has human hair and finger nails) has no medicinal value whatsoever. Sadly this has not deterred the worrying trend. The estimates are over 600 poached rhinos for 2012.
Please support this charity and any others that are trying to save this iconic species from extinction.

This website is a comprehensive list of all of the worlds endangered animals. It puts the animals into several categories of concern, from least concern to extinct.
Please visit the site and familirise your self with those most endangered and see if there is anything you can do to help - even if its just spreading the word.
